A systematic review and metaregression, carried out within the Global Burden of Disease framework, estimating the prevalence and incidence of untreated caries in deciduous and permanent teeth from 1990 to 2010. It showed untreated caries to be one of the most common health conditions worldwide and is widely cited in oral public-health planning.
